Prayer Time Methodology
KarachiPrayerTime.pk uses the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi calculation method for the main timetable. This is the Pakistan-focused method commonly used on major prayer-time pages and is a practical fit for Karachi users.
The default table shows Hanafi Asr, because that is the common practice in many Karachi mosques and households. The Standard/Shafi Asr time is shown separately wherever needed, so users can follow the method used by their own masjid, teacher, or family.
The times shown on this website are prayer start times. They are not the same as mosque jamaat times. A masjid may set its own jamaat, khutbah, Taraweeh, or Jummah schedule after the waqt begins.
Small differences of one or two minutes can appear between reliable sources because of rounding, coordinates, calculation method, twilight angle, or local precaution. We keep the method visible so users know exactly what the displayed times are based on.
Found a possible timing issue? Send the date, prayer name, and comparison source to support@karachiprayertime.pk so it can be reviewed.
